(FOX Providence) - The new year will bring big changes for Rhode Island's only local news, lifestyle and entertainment show.
Beginning Monday, January 9, 2012, The Rhode Show will move to WPRI 12 weekday mornings at 9. The show will be hosted by popular radio personality Will Gilbert, the Rhode Show's Michaela Johnson, and this year's 2011 Rhode Show Search for a Star Winner, Mary Larsen.
From having fun to living life to eating well, The Rhode Show will continue to provide unique local content that entertains and informs.
Also starting in 2012, Eyewitness News This Morning will extend its popular weekday morning newscast on Fox Providence. Viewers will now be able to get local news, weather and traffic from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Fox Providence beginning on Monday, January 2, 2012.
The additional hour of Eyewitness News will provide viewers with more morning news coverage than any other local television station. Viewers can continue to count on Eyewitness News Anchors Danielle North, Patrick Little, and Meteorologist Michelle Muscatello to bring them the stories making news overnight along with Pinpoint Weather and Traffic every 10 minutes.
"We are excited about the expansion of morning news and look forward to bringing viewers even more coverage they can count on," says Rebecca Johnson, Executive Producer of The Rhode Show and Eyewitness News This Morning. "With a new time, new station and more local stories, we are eager to bring the fun of The Rhode Show into viewers' homes every morning."
