(FOX Providence) - In Rhode Island, it's all about the food. And more specifically, the seafood. The Rhode Show decided to pay a visit to some of the best seafood shacks in the state.
The first stop was Flo's Clam Shack in Middletown. At Flo's there's two floors of dining space, inside or out, with a raw bar on the second level. Guests can enjoy a view of Second Beach from just about everywhere in the restaurant.
A quick trip across the Newport and Jamestown bridges and you can shack up at Iggy's in Narragansett for some dough boys and clam cakes. There's also a location in Warwick.
If you head north, pay a visit to The Country Chowder Shack in North Scituate. It's a long way from the ocean compared to the rest of the other best shacks in the state, but you sure can taste it.
Be sure to call ahead if you are looking for a seafood fix in Scituate, The Country Chowder Shack is only open Thursday through Sunday.
The last stop for The Rhode Show was at Blount Clam Shack in Warren. It literally is a shack, on wheels, right on the Warren River. There is plenty of room there for parking cars or your boat.
You can check out all the winners at Rhode Island Monthly's Best of Rhode Island party Thursday, July 28.
