COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) -- A local politician is proposing new health regulations which would give grocery shopper a new option in the dairy aisle.
State Senator Nicholas Kettle from Coventry is attempting to legalize the sale of unpasteurized milk. People consume raw milk for a variety of reasons ranging from its unique taste to its nutritional value.
Sen. Kettle will present his proposal at a hearing tomorrow. If it is passed, any raw milk sold in stores would carry a warning label outlining any potential dangers.
