PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- In New England, any trace of snow always gets people talking and making preparations for the extra cold and wet conditions.
Bob Proulex was one of many motivated by the forecast. He bought a snow blower, just in case.
"Since we had a light winter last year, more than likely, we might get hit pretty good this year," said Proulex.
Others are excited and welcome the frosty forecast.
"I love it. We need it for Christmas. I think it'd be great," said Patricia Braswell of Riverside.
Road crews are already prepping the streets. Dozens of trucks have hit the pavement with salt and sand.
Officials are asking motorists to take caution when driving during Tuesday's evening commute.
According to Eyewitness News Meteorologist Michelle Muscatello, most of the accumulations will be during the evening and night, with many areas seeing 1-3 inch amounts.
