CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (AP) -- Investigators are looking into the death of an inmate at the Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls but say preliminary findings indicate the man's death is not suspicious.
The Rhode Island State Police said Monday that the unidentified inmate was found unresponsive in his cell Saturday morning.
Police say the man had pre-existing medical conditions and had recently been transferred to Wyatt from Connecticut.
The state Medical Examiner's Office intends to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of the man's death.
The incident remains under investigation by the state police and the U.S. Marshals Service.
