PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- A new report suggests Rhode Island may be the only state in New England where home prices are not on the rise.
The November 2012 Re/Max of New England Housing Report shows that while sales of single-family homes increased by 58.5 percent in Rhode Island this November compared to the previous year, the average sale price fell by 1.5 percent.
According to the report, the median price is now $188,750.
Every other New England state cited in the report saw both home sales and home prices rise in November. Maine was not included in the report.
