FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - 51 immigrants from 20 countries became U.S. citizens Thursday morning.
The naturalization ceremony took place on board the USS Massachusetts.

The decommissioned World War II battleship is currently docked at Battleship Cove in Fall River.
The event was led by state Superior Court Associate Justice E. Susan Garsh and the Boston district director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Denis Riordan.
Fall River Mayor Will Flangan was there along with several state lawmakers and the chief executive, general counsel and president of the Fall River Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Robert Mellion.
