SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- The state of Rhode Island is offering to help business owners faced with employee layoffs because of superstorm Sandy.
Workers from the Department of Labor and Training will be at the netWORKri Office in the Steadman Government Center Monday in South Kingstown. The building is located on Tower Hill Road.
They'll be there from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. DLT workers will also help business owners fill out waivers to allow their employees to skip the one week waiting period for unemployment benefits.
