FALL RIVER, MASS. (WPRI) - On Earl's current projected path, Southeastern Massachusetts could see the strongest wind and heaviest of the rain. Officials in Fall River say, they're ready.
As the storm continues to work its way through the Western Atlantic and toward the United States, communites across Southern New England continue to prepare. Meeting with police, fire and the city's EMA, Mayor Will Flanagan wanted to make sure his city was ready for whatever earl might bring.
"it appears the storm will stay off to our east; however, if it does veer west, and touch land, we'll be ready and prepared to react any way we need to." said Flanagan.
In New Bedford , the New Bedford - Fairhaven bridge was closed from 12 to 6:30 Wednesday and will be closed again Thursday for all vehicles. This is to allow boats to seek shelter in New Bedford harbor
So, like many other Southern New England communities, Both cities are in a wait and see mode for another day.
