Red Sox will keep ticket prices the same

The club announced on Tuesday that the cost of all tickets available to the public will be unchanged, while prices for premium seats bought through multiyear contracts will vary.

It is the second time in four years the team has kept prices for all publicly available tickets the same.

The Red Sox went 7-20 in September and were eliminated from playoff contention on the final day of the regular season when they lost to the Baltimore Orioles, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the New York Yankees. Two days later, Terry Francona left after eight years as manager. General manager Theo Epstein later became president of baseball operations of the Chicago Cubs.
