BOSTON (WPRI) - An official with the New England Patriots said quarterback Tom Brady was not hurt during a car crash in Boston Thursday morning.
Brady was driving his Audi to practice around 6:30 a.m. when the crash happened at the corner of Commonwealth and Gloucester Avenues, not far from his home.
There are reports the jaws of life were used and that a pole was knocked down during the accident. However, according to a Tweet sent out by the team, Brady declined medical treatment and continued on to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, where the team is preparing for this weekend's season opener.
"Patriots QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning. He was not hospitalized and is expected at Gillette Stadium today," the Tweet said.
Fire officials said a passenger in one vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
