Bryant blasts Wagner 82-59 for 8th win in a row

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Dyami Starks led five players in double figures with 17 points as Bryant blasted Wagner 82-59 Saturday in Northeast Conference play.

The Bulldogs (13-4, 6-0) remained unbeaten in conference play with their eighth consecutive victory.

Bryant, which led throughout the game, took a 36-26 halftime lead into the locker room. Wagner (9-8, 3-3) made just six of its 30 shots from the field in the first half, including a 2 for 15 nightmare beyond the 3-point arc.

The Bulldogs, meanwhile, got balanced scoring. Frankie Dobbs scored 15 points, Alex Francis and Joe O'Shea added 12 points apiece and Corey Maynard chipped in 11. Starks and Dobbs each hit three 3-pointers as Bryant was 8 of 16 from long range.

The Seahawks finished 5 for 26 on treys. Bryant also outscored Wagner 36-22 on points in the paint.

Jonathon Williams led the Seahawks with 17 points. Eric Fanning added 13.
