(WPRI) - Reports are that the Boston Celtics will have Jeff Green on the court next season.
Ken Berger of CBSSports.com first reported that the 25-year-old forward would be back in green, and the Boston Globe got confirmation from both Danny Ainge and Green's agent Saturday night.
Green missed all of last season after surgery to repair a heart condition.
He joined the Celtics from Oklahoma City in the trade that sent Kendrick Perkins to the Thunder and average 9.8 points per game after coming to Boston.
Signing Green is just one of many moves the Celtics have taken since the free agent signing period began. The Celtis have already resigned Kevin Garnett and announced a deal with Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry.
Contract agreements cannot be made official until July 11, once the NBA's 10-day moratorium is complete.
