PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Gas Prices are falling in Rhode Island, just in time for Thanksgiving.

AAA of Southern New England's recently released survey shows that the average price for a gallon of self serve unleaded gasoline is $3.46.

This number is a four cent decrease from last week's low of $3.50 per gallon.

While this decrease is good news for holiday travelers,  Rhode Island is still 11 cents above the national average of $3.35 per gallon.

Last year at this time, the state's average low was $3.02 per gallon.

AAA's survey results showed a range in gas prices throughout the state, with a high of $3.64 to a low of $3.24. The auto club suggests that motorists shop around for the best deals in their area.
