Cranston grandmother of shooting victim reacts

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- As mourners gather in Connecticut to remember the victims of Friday's mass killing, the sorrow from Sandy Hook Elementary school has also descended on Rhode Island.

Eyewitness News has learned the grandmother of one of the young victims lives in Cranston.

Theresa Moretti told the Boston Herald her grandson, six-year-old Dylan Hockley, "had the most mischievous little grin. To know him was to love him."

Dylan Hockley was in first grade. He was among the 20 children and six adults shot to death at Sandy Hook Elementary school on Friday by a gunman police are now identifying as 20-year-old Adam Lanza.

"Dylan had dimples and blue eyes, he was an angel, and I think that's now why he's in heave," Moretti told the paper of her little grandson.

She went on to say "as a grandmother, I'm heartbroken. As a mother, I'm devastated my daughter has to go through this."
