PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Eyewitness News has learned that Top Providence College Friars player Jamine "Greedy" Peterson has been dismissed from the team.
Peterson was dismissed for team violations while hosting a recruit and a recruit's friend this weekend.
"Jamine Peterson has been dismissed from the men's basketball team for a violation of team rules," said Head Coach Keno Davis.
"Jamine had a productive season in 2009-2010. However, regardless of his athletic accomplishments, it is essential to the integrity of the program that every student-athlete meets the high standards and exceptions we have at Providence College."
Peterson just finished up his sophomore year at Providence College.
