WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - Testimony in the wrongful death suit filed against Kent Hospital by actor James Woods is expected to resume Tuesday afternoon at Kent County Courthouse.
The movie star and Rhode Island native is suing the hospital in the death of his brother, Michael Woods. He maintains his brother received negligent care when he visited the hospital's emergency room three years ago complaining of a sore throat.
Michael Woods, who suffered from heart disease, went into cardiac arrest several hours later and died.
James Woods could possibly take the stand sometime Tuesday. Michael Woods' son may also testify sometime this week.
During Monday's testimony, a cardiac specialist for the defense said Kent played by the rules and that Michael Woods' condition would have been difficult to treat in Kent's emergency room.
