LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) - Detectives in Los Angeles County have arrested a man on suspicion of stabbing a moviegoer in the neck with a meat thermometer during a screening of the film "Shutter Island" last month.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said 39-year-old Landry Boullard was arrested Wednesday after detectives received an anonymous tip. He was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
The stabbing happened Feb. 27 during a screening of the Martin Scorsese film in Lancaster. The victim was stabbed and suffered serious injuries after complaining about someone talking on a cell phone.
Boullard was being held in lieu of $1 million bail. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
Whitmore says Boullard is studying to be an air conditioner technician.
