(CNN) - Ringtones may soon have some decorative competition. Nokia has filed a patent for a tattoo that would vibrate whenever someone tries to contact you.
The LA Times first reported this story.
The tattoo would communicate with a cellphone like a bluetooth, through magnetic waves. And just like picking different ringtones for callers, users may be able to customize the tattoo to give off varying vibes for their contacts.
Not one for tattoos? Nokia is also trying to patent a sticker version of the device.
No word on when the so-called "ringtone tattoo" will be available.
