Kathryn Sotnik joined Eyewitness News in January 2008. A native Rhode Islander, Kathryn is exceedingly pleased to be back home with family, friends and, of course, enjoy all "Little Rhody" has to offer.
Before joining Eyewitness News , Kathryn reported for WMUR in Manchester, NH. While there, she covered the 2008 NH Presidential primary - one of the first critical tests for the candidates -and interviewed multiple presidential candidates one-on-one. On primary night, Kathryn "went live" with continuous news coverage as race results unfolded.
Prior to New Hampshire, Kathryn spent two years reporting at WMTW in Portland, ME. There she investigated and delivered news reports on everything from wintry weather to serious crime and divisive municipal issues. Kathryn began her professional reporting career at WMGM in Atlantic City, NJ.
A native of Greenville, RI, Kathryn graduated from Northeastern University College of Communications, with a Bachelor of Science in Television and Radio, along with minors in Journalism and Political Science. While at Northeastern, Kathryn was a recipient of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences annual Emmy award for her dedication to TV News.
She enjoys spending time with her sisters, many nieces and nephews...and her cat, Tiggy. Kathryn also enjoys summers on the beach at Bonnet Shores, shopping at Providence Place, and all the fantastic food in RI!
