Mount beats Cathedral, 4-2 at Fenway

Teams took part in "Frozen Four 2012" series

BOSTON, Mass. (WPRI) - Mount Saint Charles hockey team defeated Cathedral High School from Springfield, Massachusetts at Fenway Park on Monday night.

The game is part of the "Frozen Fenway 2012" series.

Players for Mount were excited for the once in a lifetime opportunity.

“It's a pretty unreal experience,” says senior Steven Donahue. “Not many people get to do it. It's pretty cool that the Bruins did it last year and now we have this experience to do it this year.”

Mt. Charles is just one of a handful of high school teams that will take the ice at Fenway tonight for the triple header.

The game tonight will also raise money for a good cause. Cathedral High School was severely damaged when a tornado devastated the town last June. Ticket sales will help them with repairs.

“This is going to be a great event, an exciting event,” says Mount coach Dave Belisle. “And in the end, we're going to be handing over some money to some people who need it.”
