AGAWAM, Mass. (AP) -- The Six Flags New England amusement park is looking to hire 3,000 people for the upcoming season, including actors to dress as Batman, Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny and other characters.

Spokeswoman Melissa Pinkerton said Tuesday the park in Agawam is also looking for people to work in admissions, as ride operators, in food and retail, security and even lifeguards for the new Bonzai Pipelines water park.

The park is holding a job fair on Friday and Saturday, and applicants at least 16 years old must come dressed to impress, although Pinkerton says there's no need to wear a cape or tights for people applying to play a superhero.

The season opens at the end of April and runs through the end of October. Pay starts at $8 an hour.
