FOXBORO, MASS. (WPRI) - A man from Walpole is dead after a crash involving a cement truck this morning in Foxboro.

Troopers from the State Police barracks in Foxboro responded to the scene at the intersection of Route 1 and North Street a few minutes before 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Police tell Eyewitness News that 34 year-old Matthew Gallagher was driving an Infiniti G20 on North Street and did not stop for a red light, entering the southbound lanes of Route 1 when it was hit by the cement truck.

Gallagher was pronounced dead at Norwood Hospital.

The road was shut down for about an hour after the crash.
