Bouncer arrested on rape charges

NORTON, MA (WPRI) - A bouncer is arrested for allegedly raping a Wheaton College student at a bar in Norton, Massachusetts.

Paul Panaikas, 38, of Taunton, Massachusetts was arrested Wednesday morning by Norton Police on a warrant.

Norton Police tell Eyewitness News that Panaikas allegedly raped a female student while he was working at the Sportsway Cafe on February 10.

Panaikas has been charged with on count of rape and one count of indecent assault and battery.

Panaikas was arraigned in Attleboro District Court and was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail.

He is due back in court on March 21.
