SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) - One Rhode Island town is cracking down on vandals.

Officials in Smithfield plan to install an expensive surveillance system at one of its parks.

According to The Valley Breeze, the cameras will be placed around Deerfield Park.

In 2011, vandals targeted the park, ripping out picnic tables and a speed bump and also stripping some trees.
