NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The third former North Providence town councilor involved in a bribery scheme was scheduled to report to federal prison Monday.

Raymond Douglas was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison, after pleading guilty to federal corruption charges.

Douglas had asked to serve his sentence at Fort Devens in Massachusetts, but a judge denied the request.

Former councilors Joseph Burchfield and John Zambarano began serving their sentences earlier this month.
