Northwest RI covered in snow

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) - The November Nor'easter left much of northwest Rhode Island covered in Snow Wednesday night.

Firefighters, like Tom Smith in the Pascoag section of Burrillville, brought out the snow shovels.

"Just to make sure the trucks can get in and out of the station so we don't slip and hit the back of the station," Smith said.

"It's part of being in New England," said Pascoag Fire Captain Kevin Stockwell, "I love it."

Harrisville DPW trucks were out in the afternoon treating the roads.

Patrick Freaney of Burrillville confirmed the conditions were slippery.

"My wife is very free with the pedal, but right now she's being very cautious," Freaney said, "I just walked out of that restaurant and almost fell right down so its very slippery."
