WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) -- Hasbro is gearing up for the season of giving by doing just that.
"Team Hasbro" volunteers have sorted and prepared more than 25,000 toys for the Rhode Island Community Action Association agencies across the state, which will be given to needy children this Christmas season.
"In 2011 we donated over 400,000 toys and games nationally, and we expect to meet that again this year and potentially exceed it," said Hasbro Community Relations Manager Maggie Casey.
Hasbro was recently recognized by The Civic 50 survey as one of the top ten community-minded companies in the nation.
