PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - The Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame has announced its first class of inductees:
Three other acts previously inducted into the RI Popular Music Archive Hall of Fame will also be inducted:
All eight musicians will be honored at a ceremony and concert at The Met in Pawtucket on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.
John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band and Roomful of Blues will perform. A Tribute to Dave McKenna featuring his sister, Jean (McKenna) O'Donnell, and friends will also take place.
The public will also have the opportunity to get a first look at the mockups of what will become permanent displays in the hallways of Hope Artiste Village .
Organizers announced that they were establishing the RI Music Hall of Fame back in November.
