PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police are in the process of questioning suspects after a man was found shot in Pawtucket Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the area of 558 Smithfield Ave. at about 10:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting. They came upon a man who had suffered several gunshot wounds.

The victim was identified as Terrance Myers, 28, of Providence. He told police he was at a Weeden Street residence to settle a dispute with someone that lives there, when an altercation broke out involving as many as six males.

Myers says he was shot during the incident and fled to Smithfield Avenue. He is unsure of which man shot him.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, which police say appear to be non-life-threatening.

Police say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Det Rosciti of the Pawtucket Police Department at (401) 727-9100 ext. 737.
