PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) -- A Pawtucket man was given a lengthy sentence yesterday for burning down the home of a witness testifying against him.

According to the Providence Journal , Raymond Gyamfi, 23, pleaded guilty to setting fire to the Vale Street home back in February of 2011.

He did so in order to intimidate a witness who was testifying against him in a home invasion case.

Gyamfi was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years, with 19 to serve for arson and burglary and a year to serve for witness intimidation.
