PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - Pawtucket police are investigating an armed robbery at Lion Pizza.

Officers were called to the Mineral Spring Ave. restaurant Saturday just before 10:30 p.m.

The owner of the store told police that he was sitting at the counter when a man walked in with his jacket pulled over his head covering most of his face.

The suspect showed a handgun, asked the store owner if he wanted he to die, then demanded money.

The owner gave the suspect $90 cash from his pocket and the suspect took off.

The store owner got into his car and followed the suspect, who got into the passenger seat of a white, late model Ford Taurus.

The suspect is black, 5' 8" and weighs about 180 lbs.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Pawtucket Police at 401-727-9100.
