Woman charged in Lincoln bank robbery

LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) -- A Cumberland woman appeared in court Thursday to answer to charges in a Lincoln bank robbery.

Nancy Tout, 48, was arraigned on second-degree robbery charges in Kent County District Court.

She's accused of holding up the Navigant Credit Union on Front Street at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Police tell us she did not show a weapon, and was arrested only about a half-hour after the crime occurred.

Tout has been released on personal recognizance.
