Arrest made in stabbing case

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI (WPRI) - South Kingstown Police have made an arrest in a January stabbing case.

A Providence man was stabbed outside of the Champaigne Heights apartment complex on Curtis Corner Road last month.

29-year-old Leon Taylor was arrested by state police and charged with one count of felony assault.

Taylor has an extensive criminal record, including convictions for assaulting a corrections officer and involvement in a drive-by shooting.
