Town meeting held in wake of shooting

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI)- East Greenwich town officials are working to make sure residents feel safe in their community following the tragic school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

A community meeting will be held Thursday night at Saint Luke's Church to allow residents to discuss their feelings and how to safely celebrate this holiday season.

Community leaders, the East Greenwich School Department and local churches are all expected take part in Thursday's event.
