WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - Car owners are waiting to assess the damage, after their vehicles were nearly submerged by flood waters at a West Warwick auto body shop.
"I'm scared to heck!" says Steve Marsella, who dropped his car off at Village Collision on Aster Street over the weekend.
He was supposed to pick it up Monday, when he found out told the garage storing his car was flooded.
"A lot of things can happen," says Marsella, who's concerned about the extent of the damage caused by the flood waters.
"The water can get in the exhaust pipes and electrical and all that good stuff."
Unfortunately he and other car owners will have to wait for the water to subside before they're allowed to check out the damage, because the water is contaminated with oil and could be hazardous.
