WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- Patriots fans in Rhode Island have now been given an alternative way to travel to see their favorite team.
Gov. Lincoln Chafee, along with the Department of Transportation and RI Airport Corporation, have announced that train service has been added from T.F. Green Airport to Gillette Stadium for all home games.
"These trains are a great way for sports fans to avoid traffic, park at the InterLink, and ride the train to see our outstanding New England Patriots in action," said Gov. Chafee in a statement. "This is convenient for both Rhode Island residents and out-of-state travelers flying in for a game."
Fare for the train will be $15 round trip, and tickets can be purchased in cash on board the train. Garage parking at the InterLink is available for $6.75 for 24 hours.
Trains will depart from Gillette Stadium 30 minutes after the conclusion of the games.
