WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - A vigil will be held on Saturday night for Carl Cunningham Jr., a 23-year-old man who was murdered in Warwick one year ago.
The memorial is being held outside the Villa Avenue home of Cunningham's father at 6:30 p.m.
Cunningham was shot inside his friend's apartment last January, in what police say was a case of mistaken identity.
Investigators say 25-year-old Tony Gonzalez showed up to the home of his ex-girlfriend looking for her new boyfriend.
The pair got into a fight and police say Gonzalez shot Cunningham.
He later died at the hospital.
