Standoff suspect held without bail

19-year-old Edward Lepore held at the ACI

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - One of the two suspects involved in a standoff with state police in West Warwick has been ordered held without bail.

Edward Lepore, 19, of Coventry, remains at the ACI.

Lepore and a juvenile suspect were taken into custody early Monday morning following a five-hour standoff at a West Warwick home.

Lepore was also wanted on several other domestic charges.

The two suspects are also accused of robbing a man at gunpoint on Shippee Avenue.
