WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- A state organization looking out for Rhode Island children says students in one city have shown significant improvement.

Rhode Island Kids Count released a report Wednesday on students in Warwick. It showed that 77 percent of the city's fourth graders are reading at or above proficiency.

That's better than the state average, and higher than the last time Warwick's kids were tested.

The city's graduation rate also improved by 16 percent.
