Victim in brutal assault still critical

Cranston police continue to investigate

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The victim in a brutal assault in Cranston back in January is listed in critical condition.

Victor Baez, 49, was found unconscious and suffering from blunt force trauma on January 30th in the area of 112 Third Avenue.

Cranston Police Col. Marco Palumbo said Baez arrived home on Third Avenue and was assaulted by two people.

Baez was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police are still looking for suspects in the violent crime.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
