WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's National Chamber Foundation hosted a Hiring Our Heroes event in Warwick Friday.

The job fair was for veterans and military spouses and took place at the CCRI campus.

More than 60 employers participated, with jobs available for soldiers of all ranks and levels of experience.

Companies ranged from America's biggest employers to small companies from across the region.

Since its launch in March 2011, Hiring Our Heroes has held more than 320 hiring fairs nationwide, helping more than 10,400 veterans and military spouses find employment.

Friday's event is also part of " Hiring 500,000 Heroes " a national campaign launched to engage the business community in committing to hire 500,000 veterans and military spouses by the end of 2014.
