CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - A convicted rapist, connected to one woman's suspicious death and two other assaults on women, is due in court Friday.

A violation hearing is scheduled for James Adams.

Back in 2005, he was convicted of raping a woman and served five years in prison.

Investigators accused the 31-year-old of raping and robbing a woman at gunpoint back in June . Then in July, he was accused of pointing a gun at a different woman .

He's also a person of interest in the murder of a woman found in a Cranston garage on July 20 .
