Second drug arrest made in town in two days

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- Detectives seized a large amount of drugs from a home in West Warwick and arrested a resident on numerous charges.
John Davis, 42, was arrested and charged with one count each of delivery, possession with intent to distribute, and manufacturing of marijuana, and one count each of delivery, possession with intent to distribute, and manufacturing of a schedule III narcotic.
Police executed a search warrant at his 73 Brookside Ave. home Tuesday and seized 178 marijuana plants, more than a pound of marijuana, prescription schedule III narcotics and items used in the manufacturing, packaging and selling of narcotics.
Davis was held overnight at West Warwick police headquarters and arraigned in court Wednesday.
It was the first of two drug arrests made in the town in just two days, as a man was arrested late Wednesday night following a home invasion on D'Amrbrosca Court.
