(WPRI) -- As a result of Friday's tragedy in Newtown, a local school district and a pair of organizations are offering counseling for those affected emotionally.
The RI Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals is extending their services to anyone experiencing grief because of the school shooting.
Friends Way in Warwick also expressed to Eyewitness News that they're staffed to help those affected.
Principal Joseph Amaral of Portsmouth Middle School said his staff will be available for support starting on Monday:
