Theater evacuated after gun threat

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)- An East Providence movie theater was forced to evacuate Wednesday night after security worries about an armed moviegoer.
The East Providence 10 theater on Newport Avenue was evacuated for 45 minutes while police searched the theater.
According to police, the suspect, Carl Butler, was heard muttering to himself about bringing a gun to the theater. Butler was wearing a large jacket.
He is set to be arraigned Thursday morning and charged with disorderly conduct.
