PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is publishing a book of inspirational quotes.
It's called "On Virtues: Quotations and Insight to Live a Full, Honorable, and Truly American Life."
Rhode Island's Junior U.S. Senator says he has been gathering the sayings in a notebook for nearly 20 years.
They come from figures ranging from Charles Dickens and Confucius, to Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ronald Reagan.
The book is scheduled to be published on Sunday.
