RIPTA resumes full service on routes

All routes operating normally

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Rhode Island's public transit system has restored full service on all routes a little over a week after the state's first major snowstorm of the season.

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority said that as of Monday all routes were operating normally.

Accumulated snow in some areas and unplowed snow on secondary routes had made it hard for vehicles to travel safely in some locations. Some routes were not servicing all their regular stops.

RIPTA suspended service on Feb. 8 because of the storm but had the majority of its buses and trolleys back up and running on Feb. 11.
