PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- In order to properly prepare Rhode Islanders for the upcoming flu season, health officials will be holding a series of immunization clinics across the state.

Vaccinations against pertussis (whooping cough), influenza, and pneumonia will be offered in cities and towns across Rhode Island beginning on Saturday.

The Department of Health hopes to prevent any outbreaks of those illnesses with the clinics, which require no out-of-pocket cost or health insurance.

For a full list of clinics and more information about the immunizations, visit the Department of Health's website.
