PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- The second quarter report has been released in the Ocean State, and the latest numbers are mostly positive.

According to the Department of Labor and Training, there were 5,700 more Rhode Island-based jobs for June than originally estimated.

Job growth exceeded original estimates in several sectors, including professional and business services, accommodation and food services, health care, and retail trade.

Despite the increase in those sectors, larger than expected losses were reported in education service, government, and manufacturing.
